Dave worked as a Welder/Heavy Duty Mechanic/Millright. He was an avid outdoorsman, out fishing or hunting whenever he could. Dave was a man who could find a way to fix anything by using unusual items found about the house and in thrift stores.
Following his Military service Dave remained a faithful Legion member in his hometown of Claresholm, AB and was dedicated to his Anglican faith. He loved to socialize and to spread his sense of humour wherever he went. In fact, he often reminisced about the pranks he played on others during his youth which put a smile on our faces, as in knowing him we could always visualize him doing it.
Dave's true calling was that of a loving Son, Brother, Husband, Dad, Uncle, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and friend. A man loved deeply by those who were closest to his heart.
Dave’s request was to be cremated and returned to Belleville Ontario to be buried in the family plot beside his parents, siblings and son. This will be done at a later date and will be announced when it is known.

Anne Payne
October 10, 1929 ~ June 13, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma and Auntie Anne of pancreatic cancer at the age of 89.
Full Obituary
She was born in Carmel, Saskatchewan. The second last survivor in her family of 9 children of parents Rose Klashinsky and Bernard Froess. She is survived by her sister Agnes (Buster) Molohon, her daughter Cheryle (Gary) Brandner of Kelowna, BC and her son Kevin (Pat) Payne of Parkland, Alberta, son-in-law Allan Maillot of Calgary, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was just recently deceased by her beloved husband William (Bill) Payne on May 28 this year, her daughter Patricia Ann Maillot in 2016 and her grand-daughter Jessi in 2005.
Anne worked and had many friends through her many years at Woodward’s in the MacLeod Room and then went on to work for many more years at The Cash Office of the Calgary Co-op on Richmond Road in Calgary. After retirement, she enjoyed her favourite past-time of cooking and baking for her family and friends who all enjoyed her delicious cinnamon buns and butter tarts immensely, along with anything else she made which always included sugar on top. She was such a tasty cook she could have easily turned it into a very lucrative business but she chose just to do it for love of friends and family. Mom most recently was enjoying crafting and playing bingo with her many friends at Porcupine Hills Lodge.
A big thank you to the wonderfully caring doctors and nurses at the Claresholm General Hospital who cared for both dad and mom in their time of need. What a wonderful group of special angels they are. The family will hold a small family dinner in remembrance of Anne at a later date.
If you so desire, donations in memory of Anne may be made to: The Porcupine Hills Lodge Foundation, Box 790, Claresholm, Alberta T0L 0T0
